What’s on my B Corp To Do List after session one of our training programme?
Sussex Impact Pathway is changing our legal status from a partnership between our own consultancy businesses to its own limited company. (Geeky, but it matters because you need a certain legal status to be eligible for B Corp certification.)
So we are joining in with our May 2026 cohort to do the work and join our favourite businesses as a certified B Corp!
Our first in person session kicks off with getting everyone set up on the B Impact Assessment online tool and cracking on with the Foundation Requirements and Government Affairs & Collective Action sections.
We get loads done - the sessions are workshop time to do the actual work with support and template policies - but there will always be some development work between sessions. B Corp status isn’t meant to be easy!
The work will be different for everyone but for us the priority actions are:
Planning a panel discussion with Sussex Bay in Shoreham Port’s sustainability week this summer. Taking part in collective action is an important part of this theme.
Developing a Responsible Lobbying policy and getting that up on the website. (Big tick there)
Loving the accountability of working in a group - the programme works!
